The Client is an ICT company looking to grow and expand its business both organically and otherwise, and for that reason they were looking to hire a consultant for an allotted period of time (per annum) with specific deliverables or expertise to guide more general operations.
TheMagnet® proposed a basic cooperation model to working closely with top and middle level management on strategies, processes, and solutions, based on a monthly retainer fee; being on retainer means that we’re “on-call” for a specified number of days each month. The Client agreed to pay for the agreed number of days, whether they give work or not. The retainer fee was based on a reduced rate for the security offered by being on retainer.
