Provision of Services to the University of Cyprus for the needs of “Deployment of Generic Cross Border eHealth Services in Cyprus”

TheMagnet®, a management and technology consulting firm has been assigned by the University of Cyprus to provide services for the creation of the communication plan and promotional actions for the needs of the project “Deployment of Generic Cross Border eHealth Services in Cyprus”.

According to the Directive 2011/24/EU, Cyprus established the NCP role with all the authority suggested by the cross-border Directive 2011/24/EU. The Cyprus NCPeH will act as the national contact point, adhering to the Directive and ensuring a better and safer cross-border health care. Cyprus is contributing in the deployment of eHealth solutions that are expected to increase safety and quality of care throughout the EU, notably by: providing immediate clinical information needed in an emergency abroad and ensuring continuity of care across EU borders.

The CEF-CY main objective is to support Cyprus efforts to be part of a secure peer-to-peer network allowing the seamless cross-border care and secure access to patient health information between European healthcare systems, particularly with the exchange of Patient Summary and prescription.

TheMagnet® will collaborate very closely with the University of Cyprus’s eHealth Lab, Department of Computer Science which is the coordinator of the project. TheMagnet® team comprises of Andreas Spyropoulos and Athanasios Demetriades.

The contract starts in May 2023 and is expected to end on April 2025.
